Shop the Greater Shawnee Area is a summer retail promotion. As a member of the Chamber, you may become a participating merchant.

How do I become a participating merchant? By purchasing an entry form ad which will run four times as part of a full page ad in the Shawnee News-Star and twice in the Countywide & Shawnee Sun. You are then provided with additional entry forms, an entry form drop box, and signage.

What does the winning customer receive? $1000 in Chamberbucks which can only be spent with participating merchants.

How is the winner selected? A semi-finalist is drawn from each business at the end of the four week promotion. Then, an After Hours event is held to draw the grand prize winner. You or a representative are requested to attend this event to present a $25 gift certificate to one of the semi-finalist.

How does this promotion benefit me? This promotion generates traffic for your business, new customers, inexpensive and highly visible advertising and we provide you with a great database of customer information (name, physical address and email address) to expand your marketing program. In addition, you play an exemplary role in encouraging residents to shop locally.
